January and February 2013

January and February really were boring months as the winter dragged on.

Highlights: I tried to get in touch with my craftsy side and went to Primavera, the cat was lazy and loses her ovaries (on purpose), Nick wins bingo and eats a burger, and we explore a creepy shrine at the Chicken Shack.

First Arts and Crafts attempt: Calligraphy!

Proper placement of equipment.

Even gettin' artsy with the camera angle- watch out!
Turns out I sat in the wrong spot though because I got interviewed for the paper. I hate interviews and got all nervous and sound dumb but here it is, page 5.

Nick wins bingo!

Arts and Crafts attmep #2: Trying my hand at painting!

Doesn't look so bad from this pic but trust me, it's not my calling.

On this day, we tried to go ice skating in Hiroshima and took 3 trains to get there. By the time we got there, though, the rink was closed for figure skating practice. Ugh. So Nick ate a Mega Mac and I went thrifting.

Found this while thrifting...haha WHAT?!?!

LOLcatz

 February:

Liquor bottles all ready for Valentines Day Presents at YouMe town

I went for a bike ride and discovered this bamboo forest. Who needs Kyoto?!

Snow on the palm trees! Oxymoron!

Bouldering in Hiro

Lazy cat! Wants a drink of water but is sitting under the stream of water to drink it.

Arts and crafts attempt #3: I quit.
The right one turned out OK but the left one, Oh boy.

(Way More Than) Dessert and Coffee at Primevera Italian Restaurant

Just too cute to be cake and coffee!

Went to the Chicken Shack for dinner one Sunday and meandered up this side trail. At the end of it was all this. We left, officially weirded out!

Nick and I participated in "Sweat with your Sweetheart" the day before Valentines Day and made it into  the local paper (again), page 5.

This time we made the website, too!

And that was the first 2 months of 2013!
